An enchanting new dry white from Bernard Delmas? coolest Mediterranean vineyards (at an altitude of 300 metres). Limoux is fast gaining a reputation for producing some of the most sophisticated dry white wines outside Burgundy: indeed there are some parallels. Made from carefully selected 100% mature vine Chardonnay, it?s been cask fermented for a year ? and the result is enticing. An elegant, well-balanced and gently lemony white, with subtle oak and toasty/nutty flavours. In some respects this is a quiet and restrained wine, conspicuous in a world of screamingly fruity Chardonnay.
