Sweetened ciders are filtered so that unwanted yeasts will not ferment the added organic cane sugar (the Soil Association permits up to 5% of the total weight of original ingredients). For centuries cider makers have been adding sugar to their dry cider, sometimes with disastrous results! At Dunkertons, cane sugar produces cider with a more appley style, very drinkable and with the unmistakable flavour of Herefordshire Cider Apples. The Medium Dry blend is rounded and mellow and is our best-selling still cider.
