Monbazillac, situated near the town of Bergerac east of Bordeaux, is home to one of the world's great dessert wine areas. Often underrated due to the (unfair) comparison with its wealthy cousin Sauternes, Monbazillac can stand on its own as far as quality is concerned. A recent vintage of an esteemed appellation that shows no immaturity and only a hint of youthfulness. A lusciously rich dessert wine with poise, complexity and good length. In vinification the accent has been placed on preservation of its fruit aromas. Grape varieties: Semillon/Sauvignon/Muscadelle 13%
