Originally from Piedmont in northern Italy, the Piva family have been vignerons for many generations, and purchased this château in 1961. They have produced this deep and rich wine which is approaching its very best now. A ripe heady bouquet leads on to a complex layered palate which is luscious and full of fruit. Soft and mellow, it retains great length of flavour. Recommended. Grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot/Cabernet Franc 12.5% COMMENDED - INTERNATIONAL WINE CHALLENGE 2008 (2004 vintage)
