Although inspired by the Amarone wines of Valpolicella this is an entirely different animal. The ripe grapes are left on dry and raisin on cut vines (rather than being picked and dried on racks). The result is a noticeably clean, well-coloured and strikingly fruity red that just says sumptuous! It shows a vast array of flavours: characters of nutmeg, pudding fruits, roses, cedary oak and Turkish delight.
