With a nose of plums and spice and a certain earthiness with notes of liquorice, cloves, leather and oak, this Shiraz is a delicious, well-balanced wine. The palate is soft and juicy, though the structure is robust. In many ways this wine is quite old-fashioned ? ripe, but not super ripe, it has fragrance and elegance, yet its origins are obvious ? this is clearly a sumptuous McLaren Vale Shiraz.
