This acclaimed English sparkler comes from Will Davenport's vineyard in Rotherfield on the Kent-Sussex border. Made from 55% Pinot Noir with 45% Auxerrois, it's been aged on its lees for over 2 years. The wine is in traditional champagne style with good Pinot character (although a touch softer than in previous vintages) and pleasing yeast flavours. It's crisp, stylish and creamily refreshing with some lovely ripe apple nuances. Its elegant packaging saw it was chosen as the best presented bottle at the English Vineyards Association Competition in 2005. Two years on it still looks great! Grape varieties: Pinot Noir/Auxerrois
