Keenly priced Californian white which is an imaginative and hugely successful blend of two classic varieties (with just a hint of Muscat in the mix). On the nose there's a scent of sweet hay and honeydew melon, the fruit is bright, persistent and refreshing and the texture round and silky. The grapes were picked slightly early (and early in the day too) to capture their crisp and green melon aspect. The Chardonnay and Sauvignon hail from vineyards on the banks of the Russian River - the Muscat from Big Valley. Grape varieties: Chardonnay/Sauvignon 13.5% Subtle, blossom-like aromas and hint of honeysuckle ... long, rich aftertaste.? IMBIBE MAGAZINE May 2007
