A well-rounded juicy and fairly full red, as you'd expect from this variety, but without undue heaviness. On the nose there's a whiff of sweet spice - in the mouth ripe, black fruit flavours and a hint of cedar, leading on to a confident finish. The tannins are light and well under control and contribute to a very satisfying wine.
