Terre Laviche means that the soil in the vineyards is volcanic - lava having come from the now extinct Montecavo volcano. This Merlot is ripe and full and a month spent in oak barriques has added depth and interest to its well rounded sweet fruit. A very accomplished wine from Lazio, the area around Rome (as Serie A fans will be aware!).
