A Rhône estate of some repute and renown. Jacqueline André has employed biodynamic methods since 1990 to produce rich and robust oak aged reds, made from a blend of 7 local varieties. The grapes are grown on vieilles vignes with an average age of over 60 years (some are over 100 years old!). Rich, chocolaty and engaging, with characteristically luscious texture and spicy complexity. The 1999 vintage has greater potential than the 2000 vintage; it's a shade lighter but with deeper depth of flavour and firmer tannins that will reward careful aging. Grape varieties: Grenache/Syrah//Mourvedre/Cinsault, Muscardin, Counoise, Picpoul 14%
