DUNKERTONS The juice of any apple can be converted into cider of a sort, but high quality ciders with depth of character and flavour are made only from the pure juice of cider apples. The Dunkertons use traditional apple varieties like Foxwhelp, Brown Snout and Strawberry Norman, and their perry pears include Merrylegs, Painted Lady and Redhorse. |
| WESTONS Established in 1880, H.Weston & Sons is a family run company producing a range of ciders - including their organic brand. Their cider mill is in the village of Much Marcle, amongst the cider apple and perry pear orchards of rural Herefordshire. |
| DOMAINE DES CINQ AUTELS From orchards 15 miles to the South-east of Caen come our first organic Normandy ciders. It's the driest and sunniest part of the region and as a result the apples produce richly flavoured juice. They are grown and pressed by the colourful Jean Pitrou on an estate that has been organic since 1965. |
