The Dunkertons use traditional apple varieties like Foxwhelp, Brown Snout and Strawberry Norman, and their perry pears include Merrylegs, Painted Lady and Redhorse.
Established in 1880, H.Weston & Sons is a family run company producing a range of ciders. Their cider mill is in the village of Much Marcle, amongst the cider apple and perry pear orchards of rural Herefordshire.
From the driest and sunniest part of the region and as a result the apples produce richly flavoured juice. They are grown and pressed by the colourful Jean Pitrou on an estate that has been organic since 1965.
