Domaine le Soleiller, VDP Hérault Blanc (Languedoc-Roussillon) 2007 Ref: 702 Cheerful midi white with 'fleurs blanches' and lemon on the nose. Pont de Caylus VDP Côtes de Gascogne Blanc (Languedoc-Roussillon) 2007 Ref: 101 A great example of this popular dry white from Armagnac country south of Agen. Clean, fruity nose - fleurs blanches and lemon, lively, zingy acidity and a crisp finish, softened by pleasant residual sweetness. La Marouette Chardonnay VDP d'Oc Blanc (Languedoc-Roussillon) 2006 Ref: 094 This latest addition to the impressive 'La Marouette' range is the perfect replacement for the Eden Collection Chardonnay which is no longer available. It comes from vineyards between Montpellier and Nîmes and has a pleasing lemon and tropical fruit nose. It's difficult to grow, but with skill in the winery it produces elegant wines of some sophistication. This keenly priced vin de pays is typically soft with some nutty/apricot hints.
