Description
Barbera ‘Titouan’ No Sulphur Added DOC, Castello di Tassarolo
Since 2006 this winery has been run by Massimiliana Spinola, modern descendent of the noble family who created the estate. Heavy horses – as opposed to heavy tractors – are used in the vineyards, and indeed the name ‘Titouan’ comes from the very first of the horses to arrive at the estate. On the nose you’ll find wild dark berries and cherries, the palate is warm, soft, round and balanced, simply delicious! Drinking well now but would be great if you can stash a few bottles away in the cellar.
David Richardson –
A beautiful, well rounded wine, with a lovely nose of Cherries and Berries. Excellent taste and a superb, lingering finish. Will definitely be buying more of this.
