Erbaluna
A family-owned vineyard from the 19th century turned organic by the current generation, brothers Andrea and Severino Oberto, because they wanted to “rediscover direct contact with the land”. They aim to balance traditional methods with modern techniques, making only full-bodied red wines. Their Barolo exudes ripe plum fruit, and is weighty yet has the elegance that characterises Nebbiolo.
Vineyard size 9.5 hectares. Organic since 1993.

Description
Barolo DOCG, Az. Agr. Erbaluna
One of the great Italian wines, made exclusively from the highly tannic Nebbiolo grape in the Piedmont region. This is a good example of modern Barolo, made in a more approachable style than was traditionally the case. With the characteristic aroma of ripe plums, this is still weighty yet has elegant fruit, and with noticeably receding tannins, this will reward keeping and develop interesting complexity. Flavour fans will drink this on its own – we recommend it as an accompaniment to rich and tasty food.
