Château la Blanquerie
A château for 3 generations since arable land in Mérignas (50 kms SE of Bordeaux) was first planted with vines by Jean-Louis Rougier’s grandfather in the 1930s. The vines have an average age of over 30 years and are planted on south-west facing slopes. These are delicious, copy book Bordeaux wines. The red is well-structured yet approachable, whilst the white is full, juicy and immediately appealing.
Vineyard size 18 hectares. Organic since 1987.
