Jacques Frelin
We first met Jacques Frelin In Paris in 1987 and this pioneer of the French organic wine movement has been our most important supplier almost from that moment. Originally from the Vendée region he worked initially with his now ex-wife at Domaine de Clairac, then with Louis Andrieu and Olivier Azan. He now runs the operation single-handedly but with the backing of his old friend Frédéric Lachaux.
Organic vineyards represented – 40 hectares. Organic since 1983.

Description
Contreforts du Delta’ Côtes du Ventoux AC -Organic Red Wine
This organic red wine is a light to medium from the SE fringes of the southern Rhône. The name comes from the Mont Ventoux, the mountain dominating the region.
It’s a lovely light garnet colour, with raspberries and fig jam on the nose.
The tannins are soft and the wine is supple and quite juicy.
An easy refreshing style that’s best drunk young and can even be served cool (though never chilled).
Production : In the South of the Rhône Valley. Gravels and peddles terroirs.
Tasting Notes : With a nice red colour and orange reflects, this wine is fruity with spicy and strawberry flavours. The mouth is very supple.
Wine and Food pairing : Serve at 18°C with grilled meat, goat cheese or with a fig tart.
