Damson Liqueur, Pennard 35cl
Made with organic damsons grown ‘just over the hill’ from Hugh Tripp’s farm near Glastonbury, this new liqueur is slightly sweeter than his others. Hugh’s delighted that the almond flavours from the damson stones show through alongside its warm, soft plummy characters; the sweetness is necessary to balance the otherwise acid sharness of the damsons. Long fermentation on the pulp has liberated these delicious and complementary flavours. A very successful addition to our range of Somerset liqueurs.
