Continuing a family tradition, Antonio Ribeiro and his partner Sara Dionisio began producing wine in the late 1990s and were the first to produce organic Dão wines (available from us on special order) in the region where they live. Their activities now extend to other regions: Vinho Verde, Alentejo and Douro. The vineyards spread over different parcels with different soils, altitudes and aspects.

Dão Tinto, Casa de Mouraz
The ultimate Dão blend: numerous varieties from assorted vineyards plots of varying ages, altitudes and orientations. Aromas of forest and pine then vivid berry fruit in a red that’s accessible yet with some sophistication. After lengthy maceration, 20% of the wine is aged in used French oak barrels. The 2015 enjoyed perfect growing conditions: a properly cold winter followed by a hot summer with cool nights helped create a bold and lively wine that its creator describes as “out of the shadows”
