Caligiore
In 1969 the Caligiore family bought Finca la Marolina vineyard in Mendoza’s Lujan de Cuyo region, close to the foothills of the Andes and in sight of its snowy peaks. Malbec had been planted there since 1930 and for some years the grapes were sold to local wineries until 3rd generation Gustavo took control in 2011, establishing his own winery 2 years later.
Vineyard size 21 hectares. Organic since 2004.

Description
Malbec Caligiore, Lujan de Cujo
A really gutsy Malbec from Gustavo Caligiore in Lujan de Cujo (Mendoza), for some years now one of Vinceremos’ flagship wines.
The vineyards lie below the Andes at a height of 900m and enjoy the ideal combination of hot sun by day and cooling breezes by night.
His Malbec vines were planted back in 1930 and enable him to make a wine of real character – a deep, purply red with a gorgeously dark fruited nose. In the mouth it’s rich and fruity, supported by gentle tannins and there’s reassuring sweetness on the finish. Me gusto mucho!
