Cantina Orsogna is a cooperative company with 600 partners and over 1,000 hectares of vines, of which 80% are organic.
Set in the hills of Abruzzo, just 10 miles from the Adriatic, its vineyards benefit from the significant daily temperature changes and fresh breezes that result from both its altitude and its maritime location.
We are delighted to be working with the estate named ‘Italian Winery of the Year’ at Vinitaly 2012.
Vineyard size 880 hectares. Organic since 1986.

Malvasia La Belle, Cantine Orsogna
This ancient grape variety Malvasia is planted widely throughout the Mediterranean.
It is thought to have originated in Crete.
One sip of Orsogna‘s example is all you need to understand why they called it ‘La Belle’ (Beauty).
It’s pale gold in colour with nectarine, fresh flower, honey and lychee aromas.
The palate is soft and ripe with notes of stone fruits and orange zest. The lush flavours are balanced perfectly by fresh acidity, and there’s a long rewarding finish.
