Looking for a temporary replacement for our white Côtes du Rhône (unavailable this year) we may instead have found a permanent addition to the range.
From low yielding vines in the Costières de Nîmes region of the southern Rhône this a very elegant white.The nose is fragrant, white flowers and stone fruits, but on the palate there’s freshness and good body with nectarine and a hint of ripe melon; perhaps a hint of salinity too.
Suggested pairings – asparagus risotto, grilled fish or chicken in a creamy sauce. Or enjoy, as I did, on its own.
