A family enterprise, established in the Piemontese town of Tortona in
1914. In the 1980’s, after years of experience in producing wine with
other people’s grapes, Bruno and Carlo Volpi acquired the best properties
available in the Colli Tortonesi, to guarantee the winery high quality local fruit.
In our case though, he acts as bottler and agent for organic wines sourced
in Veneto, Sicily, Puglia, Marche, Molise and Abruzzo.
Vineyard size 115 hectares (suppliers). Organic since 2000.

Sangiovese ‘Boirà’ IGT, Cantine Volpi
Ripe Sangiovese grapes from high vineyards in the Ascoli Piceno area of Le Marche have been crafted into a charming Italian red. Its minimalist label is utterly in keeping with the contents – this is a chic and lightly oaked modern style wine that’s both harmonious and perfectly pitched for wining and dining. On the nose there’s sweet oaky fruit – in the mouth its smooth and mellow with hints of cherry, plum and vanilla… and the tannins are just right.
