Bodegas Robles
Founded in 1927 by Antonio José Robles, and now run by Francisco, his grandson, Bodegas Robles produce a delicious range of sherry-style wines using the same ‘solera’ method used in Jerez. All the wines, ranging from the elegant and bone dry Fino to the luscious nectar-like sweet PX are made using the Pedro Ximenez grape grown on the local white soil ‘Albarizo’.
Vineyard size 32 hectares. Organic since 1999.

Description
Pale Cream ‘Piedra Luenga’, Bodegas Robles
Pale Cream is usually barrel-aged for three years – but not this example; the producers wanted the grape flavours to show through in a gentle and aromatic manner. The result is a pale gold and well balanced sherry-style wine that’s fragrant, well balanced and slightly sweet. There are good, ripe fruit flavours and a pleasantly gentle finish. Serve chilled but not icy and drink within a week of opening. Perfect with ham, cheese, nuts, olives or pâtés.
