Christian Dauny
The Sancerre region, on the banks of the Loire, east of Bourges, has been growing grapes at least since the 6th century. The Dauny family have cultivated vines on the reputable slopes of Champtin since 1683. Current custodians Christian and Nicole and their sons Benoit and Thibaut represent the 12th and 13th generations here. In the mid-sixties the estate was converted to organic methods for all the usual reasons!
Vineyard size 16 hectares. Organic since 1964.
