Bodegas Enguera
The Perez-Pardo family comes from the Caroif Massif, a mountainous area with deep ravines and a long tradition of wine-making. This is a relatively new bodega with vineyards in two distinct areas, Casa Coromes and Casa Lluch. Our wines, one made from the rare local white grape Verdil, have their origins close by.
Vineyard size 160 hectares. Organic since 2007.

Description
Verdil de Gel, Bodegas Enguera – Certified organic grapes, production site not certified
When you hear of the innovative and time-consuming processes used to make this nectar it’s surprising it comes in at this price! Whole bunches of grapes are kept at -10° for 15 days which freezes the pulp and splits the skins allowing the aromas to develop. The result is an intriguing compote of honey-coated sweet apple, citrus and white flowers. A subtle background of exotic spice – think cinnamon, vanilla star anise – simply adds to the wine’s overall complexity. Try it with good vanilla ice cream or a sweet fruit pastry…
