Founded in 1928 by his father, it was Gaston Huet who established the Domaine’s reputation for producing exceptional wines from three single vineyards. From the 1970s, the winemaking was undertaken by Gaston’s son-in-law, Noël Pinguet, alongside Jean-Bernard Berthomé. Together, they were among the first to adopt the biodynamic farming principles which are still at the heart of the Domaine’s philosophy.
Vineyard size 30 hectares. Biodynamic since 1993.

Vouvray le Haut Lieu Sec Huet
Many regard Huet as the greatest producers of Chenin Blanc in existence – and what’s more that’s been the case for decades. This is their most approachable bottling, made with fruit grown in rich limestone-clay soils, and it’s very good indeed. There’s plenty of fruit although it’s more on the elegant than explosive side. Apples, melons and pears aplenty, but there’s also bags of minerals, nuts and a gentle layer of honey. Highly elegant, exceptionally smooth and with a long, long finish.
